Mike Singer started Protection Technologies in 1985 and has never taken on debt. He put his own money into the company from day one, which meant it could grow at its own pace instead of a lender's, develop its own branded security platforms, and choose its manufacturer partners on merit rather than terms.
The firm has never bought an advertisement. Every client has come through a referral, from a satisfied customer, a vendor, or a manufacturer. Every key leadership role is held by a woman, and the crew represents more than a dozen nationalities. Mike built it that way on purpose.

The record
Forty years, one word kept.
Protection Technologies has also developed and branded its own CCTV and entry platforms, each with a dedicated mobile app, built on the same premise as the rest of the business: do not depend on anyone else to keep a promise.
“We do not cut corners. We make sure it's done correctly and can last. We try to future-proof the building, making sure that the parts we use and the direction we go are still current five or 10 years down the line. I go by my word, so if I say I'm going to do it, it will get done.”
